		<description><![CDATA[Haaa! The same day I started reading this post, I spoke to my girlfriend who&#039;s in Japan currently and I found out that her sister was dating a &quot;burakumin&quot; man. My gf didn&#039;t even realize there were these &quot;burakumin&quot; societies until her parents told her about them. She told me her parents and grandmother disapprove of her sister&#039;s relationship with him, so this notion of exclusion of burakumin in Japan still persists among the older generations, but perhaps not so much among the under 30&#039;s crowd. They&#039;ve been dating for 2 years; I wish somehow I could help her realize the &quot;burakumin&quot; are well meaning, hard working people like the rest of us :(]]></description>
